Get the Party Started
Whether you’re rocking a club or a backyard party, Torq software delivers the rock-solid stability you need to keep the mix alive and thumping. Torq was designed for easy setup and operation-it automatically configures to work with M-Audio hardware and organizes your digital music collection into an easily searchable database. The intuitive user interface was modelled after traditional DJ hardware, and includes two decks, a two-channel mixer with three-band EQ, level controls, headphone cueing and a cross fader. With automatic beat matching and pitch alteration features, Torq simplifies the mixing process, allowing you to concentrate on song selection, reading the crowd and having fun.
Remix and Mash-Up Tracks on the Fly
Torq combines digital DJ software with a powerful remix machine-complete with built-in effects processing, MIDI compatibility, a 16-cell tempo-synced sampler and support for external VST plug-ins. These tools help you create your own style, blurring the line between live DJ performance and advanced music production. Imagine the potential of stacking multiple effects like delay, flange and distortion, while tweaking the parameters via mouse or a MIDI controller, like the Oxygen 8 v2 or Trigger Finger. These devices let you get your hands on every parameter in Torq, including triggering sound clips and one-shots from the sampler. Torq 1.5 software can also transmit and receive MIDI clock for synchronization with external devices-expanding your setup to include drum machines, effects processors and other computers. You can also set Tempo Anchors to ensure that two songs stay in sync with each other, even if a song has a varying tempo. By combining all these features into one package, Torq is ideal for spontaneously creating and performing remixes and mash-ups.
In the Studio with Torq
Torq software also delivers unique advanced functionality for studio projects. The ReWire-compatible application can link with Pro Tools M-Powered, Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase and many other software programs. ReWire support allows you to use Torq software’s powerful built-in effects processing, advanced pitch-shifting and automatic beat-matching in tandem with your digital audio workstation. This becomes invaluable when remixing tracks with troublesome tempo and pitch variations. You can easily mark tempo changes using Torq 1.5 software’s Tempo Anchors-Torq will instantly readjust the track to match the global BPM.
