I have 2 500w lights with umbrellas (can use that to soften or bounce light) and a 250w boom light otherwise known as a hair-light. Extremely helpful to have that top/back lighting.
Also, consider backdrop and backdrop stand, extension cords, and a power strip (minor thing, but it is great to be able to turn off all the lights at once).
Of course strobes would be better and more comfortable for a model, but these are good to start with.
Oh, and buy extra bulbs. These burn hot and you would hate to drop one and not be able to shoot.
Oh, and as far as color balance wand warmth, best investment is an expo ring or expo cap. Set up your lights, put that on your lens and measure your white balance. – works great.
