When you hire a DJ for a party, do they generally let you give them the music to play or do they play theirs?
I’m hiring a DJ for my 18th. A few of the websites I’ve visited say that the DJs have a “extensive selection of music and genres for you to make your selection” or something, but what if I want them to play MY music? Or at least SOME songs that I want? Do they allow this or generally do they just play what they have or what genre of music you say you like???
Well I think that most DJ companies will allow you to give in your own CD’s but I would ring the company and ask just in case.. because it may be that they are use some other sort of audio than a CD.
You will definalty be able to request songs and tell the DJ what sort of music you are in to before. I would make a list if I were you.
Your best bet is to ring up the company and ask them:
-What songs they have?
-Whether you can give them music to play?
-Whether or not they have specific songs?
Remember not to go for the cheapest DJ because anyome can DJ, but it doesn’t mean that they are good…
Try and go for the most offical looking DJ.
