How do I get financing to start a non-profit DJ service?
I have been a DJ for almost 20 years. I’ve worked for a few different companies and for myself. Now I want to provide a DJ service for Schools and others that can’t afford the other high priced DJ’s. All my equipment was stolen a couple years ago, so I stopped working for a little while. But now I’m ready to get back to it from a different approach. I want to make it so the poor kids get to have just as much fun at dances as the rich kids do. So, I need some financing to get things started. I plan to also DJ for the rich people too, in order to keep things financed for the poor kids. Somebody please help! I am very passionate about doing this. I want to work with Schools and others in Southeast Michigan.
Even non-profit companies can get loans from banks.
Write a decent business plan and visit a bank.
Perhaps you could get funding from the government, since you want to help the less-fortunate.
And since schools are your prime audience, try getting funding from institutes that organize, support and help initiatives for the poor students.
Other then that. The fact that it is going to be NON-profit does not make it anything less of a company.
You will need a business plan to get ANY funding…
