what is the best dj equipment to use with serato?
i am starting out as a dj, and i have a macbook with 10,000 songs on it, and just got rane serato as a bday present. But, i need everything else, any help on what brand, and products i should get would be greatly appreciated.
Technics 1200 (or any variation i.e. “MK2, MK3, 1210, etc) turntables are the industry standard. They retail for about $400 each. However, you can probably find a used pair on Craigslist for much less.
Any mixer will work with Serato. However, the Rane TTM 575L is designed specifically to be used with Serato, so, I’d get that if you can afford it.
