So you want to be a DJ. Finding the best equipment for your budget can be one of the most exciting parts of becoming a DJ. After all in a few years time you might be able to pull a rare tune out of your bag to make the dance floor go crazy. Nowadays modern music formats can mixed in the same way that vinyl records can. Many DJ equipment devices enable you to mix music in the traditional way by offering electronic pads that replace the vinyl decks but can be manipulated in much the same way. This makes them a good choice for aspiring DJs that already have a large CD collection.
Playing devices

Headphones
Fortunately headphones are a relatively inexpensive item of DJ equipment and getting a good set is essential. In ear headphones are not adequate as they do not cut out enough ambient sound. As a result the best are those that cover the whole of the ear. This makes it easier for a DJ to hear the music they are playing and cue up a new song so that they can be mixed seamlessly.
